This Privacy Policy describes how the LoanSmart mobile application (the "App", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our services. By downloading or using LoanSmart, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
LoanSmart is an iOS application that helps users estimate loan payments, explore financial tips, and watch short educational finance story videos. The App is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.
LoanSmart does not require you to create an account. Any values you enter into the loan calculator (such as amount, interest rate, or term) are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
When you use the App, certain technical information may be collected automatically by the third-party SDKs we integrate (see Section 4):
LoanSmart integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Displays banner, interstitial, native, and rewarded advertisements within the App. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Anonymous usage analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration of app behavior. | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
On first launch, LoanSmart presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asking for your permission to access the device's advertising identifier (IDFA).
You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device and usage data to deliver and measure advertisements. When ATT permission is denied, AdMob is instructed to serve only non-personalized advertising. Removable ad placements include:
We do not store personal data on our own servers. Analytics and crash reports retained by Firebase follow Google's standard retention periods (typically 14 to 60 months for analytics events; configurable per Google's policies).
LoanSmart is intended for users aged 17 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have the right to:
Our third-party providers (Google) may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions. By using the App you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, subject to applicable safeguards.
We rely on industry-standard security practices provided by Apple and Google infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
